Cobus Breytenbach

BA Human Movement Science - University of Pretoria - 2004

BSc Physiotherapy - University of Stellenbosch - 2008

MSc Adapted Physical Activity - Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium) - 2013

Cobus founded Breytenbach Physiotherapists with a simple philosophy: exceptional rehabilitation starts with understanding the person, not just the injury. Whether treating an athlete, an active individual, or someone wanting to move more comfortably, his focus is always the same - to identify the true cause of the problem and create a clear path back to confident movement.

Drawing on extensive clinical experience and a commitment to evidence-based practice, Cobus has a particular interest in sports and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. He enjoys working with people of all ages and activity levels, helping them recover from injury, overcome persistent pain, and return confidently to the activities that matter most to them.

Patients value his thorough assessments, hands-on approach, and rehabilitation programmes tailored to their individual goals. Rather than offering quick fixes, he believes in delivering personalised care that addresses the underlying cause of an injury and creates lasting results.

Alongside his clinical practice, Cobus lectures in lower-limb rehabilitation, ensuring his patients benefit from care that reflects both current research and real-world clinical experience.

As a keen runner, cyclist, and outdoor enthusiast, Cobus understands first-hand the importance of staying active. His goal is simple: to help every patient move with confidence, perform at their best, and get back to doing what they love.
